Bio

Josh Taylor is originally from Chattanooga, TN. He graduated from Lee University after spending three years on the baseball coaching staff at Lee. Taylor and his wife, India, reside in Lavonia, GA and are expecting their first child in August of 2025. 

Taylor started at Toccoa Falls in August of 2021 to serve as Toccoa Falls Head Baseball Coach. Since Taylor has taken over as Toccoa Falls Head Coach, the baseball program has continued to see many strides and become a national continders in the past 2 years. In March of 2023, he stepped in as Interim Director of Athletics. During this period, Taylor helped regain stability and finished the year with sending 5 of 6 teams to National Tournaments appearances, including baseball. In June of 2023, Taylor transitioned from Interim to full time Director of Atheltic, while remaining Head Baseball Coach. In his first year as Director of Atheltics, there was consistent growth in student athletes' academics, athletic performance, fundraising, and facility improvements. In Taylor's first year, he oversaw another National Tournment appearance with Toccoa Falls Runners-Up Women's Basketball Team. Taylor also introduced two new sports to Toccoa Falls, Cross Country and Golf, which began in August of 2024. Taylor has also renovated our athletic facilities, including an extension on the weight room, new office spaces for coahces, new scorebord and seating for the soccer field, new gameday chairs for the gymansium, and new dirt for the baseball field. In year two of Taylor serving as Director of Athletics we have contunied to see many improvements through multiple facilites including renovations of the gym and new scoreboards for baseball and soccer field. Taylor also keeps improving out student athlete GPA over all athletics and contunies to add more full-time coaches to the department. 

When Taylor was asked about what made him excited to take over as Director of Athletics, he stated, "Toccoa Falls is a very special place - a place that has so much potential and room to grow. I am excited to lead and serve the Athletics Department and make a change not only in athletics or coaching, but in our student athletes' lives. We have a great coaching staff and support staff that all share the same vision. I am excited to work here and serve as Toccoa Falls Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach."

Taylor resides in Lavonia, GA with his Wife (India) and they are expecting there first child in August of 2025.
