Toccoa Falls Men's Soccer Earns Back-to-Back Wins, Sets Sights on Tough Matchups Ahead

The Toccoa Falls College men?s soccer team is hitting its stride, picking up two impressive wins in their last two outings. On October 5th, the Screaming Eagles took down Mid-Atlantic Christian University in dominant fashion with a 7-1 win at home. What made this victory special wasn?t just the scoreline, but the fact that seven different players found the back of the net. Edwin Gonzalez, Fausto Granadoscruz, Santiago Hidalgo, Richard Garcia, Coleton Davis, Judah Berry, and Jibril Ahmed-Jovani all scored, showcasing the team's incredible depth. Not only were the goals evenly spread, but the assists came from a variety of players too?Pablo Devarez, Kevin Frawley, Fausto Granadoscruz, and Judah Berry all played a part in setting up their teammates.

Rolling off that momentum, the team came into the homecoming match on October 11th ready for another challenge. This time, it was Alice Lloyd College, a team that TFC had tied 2-2 last season. But this year, things were different. The Screaming Eagles? defense was on lockdown, allowing only three total shots?just one of those on target?and kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory. Fausto Granadoscruz set up Coleton Davis for the first goal, and Judah Berry delivered a beautiful assist to Edwin Gonzalez for the second. It was a complete team effort that secured the win.

With these two victories, Toccoa Falls improves to a 5-7 record overall, and there?s plenty to be excited about as they head into their next game. Tonight, October 15th, they take on NCAA Division III opponent Piedmont University at home at 7 p.m. It?ll be a big test, but TFC has shown they have the talent and the chemistry to rise to the occasion.

After tonight?s match, the Screaming Eagles will hit the road for two games in Kentucky, facing Alice Lloyd College again on October 24th, followed by a matchup against the University of Campbellsville-Harrodsburg on October 26th. With these back-to-back wins, TFC will be looking to keep the momentum going as they approach the final stretch of the season.
