Oct 29, 2024

With the 2024-25 season fast approaching, excitement is building for the Toccoa Falls College men's basketball team as it welcomes a new head coach, Micah Ryals. Ryals steps into the men's program after four impressive seasons as head coach of the TFC women's team, a period marked by success at every level. During his time coaching the women's team, Ryals was named both regional and national coach of the year, establishing himself as a top coach in the program's history. Last season, he guided the women's team to a national championship appearance. Now, he brings that winning mindset to the men's side, looking to build a culture of success and ambition.

The team returns with a strong core group of players. Key returners Tyrece Freeman, Ryan Landers, Tyriq Brown, and Jeremiah Williams are expected to set the tone and lead by example this season. All eyes are on Jeremiah Williams, who has been making strides in the offseason and looks primed to take a big leap forward in his game.

But it's not just the returning players who are generating buzz. Several newcomers are poised to make an impact right away, bringing depth and new energy to the roster. Emmanuel Hughes from Montreat College, William Gray Watson from Emmanuel, Davon Cottle from Fort Valley State University, Kaleb Thomas from Webber International, Antrell Williams from Brewton Parker College, and Randall Robinson from Columbia International University are all talented additions. Each one brings valuable experience from different programs, giving TFC a well-rounded roster that should be tough to beat.

With a mix of seasoned veterans and promising new talent, Coach Ryals has a team that's ready to compete at a high level. The team is eager to build on past successes and create its own legacy under Ryals' leadership. It's a new era for TFC men's basketball, and the future looks bright. The Eagles open up their season on October 30th at home against regional opponent, Carolina Christian. Tip off is set for 7 PM Eastern.
